Property prices rocket in Andover, Hampshire

Property prices in Andover, Hampshire, have soared in the last 12 months with an average increase in price of £42,000. The average price of a home in Andover has risen by 19% to £261,508 compared to £219,460 in 2006, according to the latest Halifax House Price Index, making it even more difficult for first-time buyers to get onto the property ladder.
In the last 12 months, house prices have risen by an average of 10.7% nationwide. However, in the south east that figure rose to 14% where the average house price is currently £259,904. It's 32% above the UK average of £196,525.
OK so this means Landlords with property in Andover will all benefit from this capital growth (don't forget to review your mortgage portfolio) and it means the rental market continues to be strong because first time buyers will now find it difficult to get on the housing ladder.
